CT Toys Magneto – Master of Magnetism 1/6 Scale Collectible Figure

★★★★★4.8· thousands of reviews

We’ve engineered the CT Toys Magneto as our most ambitious mutant villain collectible to date. Standing 12 inches tall with over 30 points of articulation, this sixth-scale figure recreates the Master of Magnetism in exacting detail from helmet to cape.

Every fabric layer is tailored to museum-grade standards: the burgundy tunic features working metal clasps, the cape drapes with weighted hems, and the gloves include articulated finger segments for dramatic gesture poses. Our sculptors studied decades of comic panels to capture the commanding presence that defines Magneto’s on-page persona.

The figure ships with interchangeable magnetic-effect accessories—translucent purple energy tendrils attach via hidden magnets at each palm, letting you recreate iconic metal-bending scenes on your shelf. Whether you display him levitating scrap steel or locked in battle stance opposite our hero lineup, this is the definitive Magneto for serious Marvel collectors.

Costume Engineering & Materials

Our design team sourced seven different fabric weights to achieve the layered costume Magneto wears across his most iconic story arcs. The burgundy tunic uses a matte poly-blend that holds crisp folds without bunching at the joints, while the cape employs a heavier weave with micro-lead weights sewn into the hem so it drapes naturally over the figure’s shoulders.

Metal details are functional, not decorative: the belt buckle snaps into place with a satisfying click, and the chest clasps actually fasten the tunic closed. We laser-etched panel lines into the gloves and boots to match the segmented look from classic Jim Lee illustrations. Even the purple accent piping along the tunic seams is hand-applied, ensuring clean edges that won’t fray over time.

Articulation & Pose Range

The CT Toys Magneto stands on our Gen-3 skeleton, the same internal framework that powers every figure in our premium mutant line. Double-jointed elbows and knees unlock deep bends for crouching or reaching poses, while the ball-jointed torso lets you twist his upper body into the dramatic gestures Magneto strikes when summoning metal from across a battlefield.

Ankle rockers give you 20 degrees of tilt in every direction, critical for balance when you pose him hovering above the diorama base. The neck joint is a compound hinge-and-swivel assembly, so you can tilt his helmeted head back in triumph or angle it down in scheming contemplation. Shoulder pads are attached via soft PVC pegs that flex as the arms move, preventing the restrictive look that plagues lesser cape-and-armor figures.

Magnetic Effects & Display Accessories

Translucent Energy Tendrils

Each set of translucent purple tendrils plugs into rare-earth magnets embedded in the palms, creating the illusion that Magneto is channeling magnetic force from his fingertips. We molded the tendrils in layers—darker purple at the base fading to near-clear at the tips—so they photograph with depth under display-case lighting.

Levitating Scrap Metal Diorama

The included base holds five pieces of twisted scrap metal on transparent support rods, positioned at staggered heights to suggest telekinetic suspension. Remove the rods for photography and the effect is pure movie magic. The base itself is textured to resemble a Sentinel factory floor, complete with stamped warning decals and faux grating.

“
Best Magneto figure on the market
I’ve collected X-Men figures for fifteen years and this is the first Magneto that actually looks commanding on the shelf. The cape drapes perfectly and the magnetic tendrils are a brilliant touch. Swapping heads is effortless and every portrait captures a different side of his character.

Articulation is phenomenal
I was worried the costume would restrict movement but the joints have full range even with the cape and tunic layers. I posed him mid-gesture with one arm raised and the other pulling metal from the diorama base—it’s been that way for two months and the joints are still tight.

Museum-grade paint and tailoring
The paint apps on the unmasked heads are flawless. No slop, clean hairlines, and the eyes have a subtle gloss that makes them look alive. The fabric costume feels expensive and the stitching is invisible unless you inspect it under magnification.

Pricey but worth every dollar
I hesitated at the price point but the moment I unboxed him I understood. The die-cast helmet alone feels like it could cost fifty bucks separately. My only minor complaint is that the energy tendrils can slip out of the palm magnets if you bump the shelf, but that’s easy to fix.

Pairs perfectly with my X-Men lineup
I display this Magneto opposite my CT Toys Wolverine and Cyclops on a floating shelf and the scale consistency is perfect. All three figures use the same skeleton so their proportions match exactly. The diorama base is a nice bonus that I didn’t expect to use as much as I do.

Exceeded my expectations in every way
From the magnetic closure on the box to the signed art print inside, this feels like a premium product from start to finish. The fabric protectant spray is a thoughtful inclusion and the instruction booklet actually teaches you how to pose him for maximum drama.

Good to know

Common Questions About the CT Toys Magneto Figure

Yes, the die-cast metal helmet lifts straight off to reveal the helmeted head sculpt underneath. You can then swap to either of the two unmasked portraits.

The helmet fits snugly so it won’t fall off during posing, but it’s designed for easy removal without tools. We recommend setting it aside in the foam tray when using an unmasked head to prevent scratches.

Each translucent purple tendril has a small neodymium magnet embedded at its base. Corresponding magnets are hidden in the palms of the open-hand and gripping-hand sets.

Simply align the tendril base with the palm magnet and it snaps into place. The connection is strong enough to hold during shelf display but releases cleanly when you want to swap accessories. The tendril set includes six individual pieces so you can customize the effect intensity.

This is a 1/6 scale collectible, meaning Magneto stands approximately 12 inches tall—the standard sixth-scale height for adult male characters. He’s designed to display alongside other CT Toys Marvel figures in the same scale.

The diorama base adds another inch of height when he’s posed on it. If you’re building a mixed-scale collection, sixth-scale figures typically pair well with 1/4-scale statues in the background for depth.

Absolutely. The figure has standard foot pegs that fit most third-party display stands, and the ankle articulation is strong enough for freestanding poses on a flat surface.

We included the diorama base for collectors who want the full magnetic-levitation effect, but many customers tell us they pose him on acrylic risers or custom terrain pieces. The foot pegs are 5mm in diameter if you’re sourcing your own stand.

The cape attaches via two snap buttons hidden under the shoulder pads. Gently lift the pads, unsnap the cape, and it slides right off.

Removing the cape reveals more of the tailored tunic detail and gives you access to the full shoulder articulation for extreme action poses. We designed it to be reversible so you can display him in or out of the cape depending on your shelf narrative.

For routine maintenance, use the included microfiber cloth to gently wipe dust from the tunic and cape. Avoid water or harsh cleaners—they can discolor the burgundy fabric or loosen the metal buckles.

If you need deeper cleaning, lightly mist the fabric protectant spray from six inches away and let it air-dry for an hour. The protectant creates an invisible barrier that repels dust and oils from handling. Store the figure away from direct sunlight to prevent fading.

We’re actively developing additional Brotherhood members and cannot share specifics yet, but our roadmap includes several more mutant adversaries planned for release over the next eighteen months.
